EMF Validation Builder

EMF Validation Builder is an eclipse plugin that automates the validation process (“on save” validation). By default, EMF doesn't validate an EMF resource when it is saved (like the JDT does for example).

With EMF Validation Builder, the EMF resource problem markers are up to date as soon as you save your model (the file itself and the files which rely on it ⇒ EMF Validation Builder maintains a dependency table that allows to re-run the validation process when necessary).

EMF is available under a BSD licence. It means that you are free to download it and use it.

The plugin actually supports the following features :

• an “on save” validation eclipse builder
• dependency management (when a resource is modified, the resources that depends on it are re-validated)
• a Preference Page that allows to select the file extension to include in the validation process
• a plugin extension point that allows to specify several file extensions to be validated by default
• a Resource Repository View allowing to see the EMF resources that are managed by the validation builder and their dependencies

EMF Validation Builder may be applied on any EMF model.
